XS International Broadens Third Party IT Maintenance Services for Cisco, Juniper and Brocade



XS International provides third party IT maintenance services for a wide range of network equipment. It provides cost-effective alternative to Cisco (News - Alert) SMARTnet and is broadening its offerings for Cisco, Juniper and Brocade support.


In a news statement, XSI claims that its third party maintenance contracts make a cost-effective alternative to the expensive service contracts of such big players as Cisco, Juniper and Brocade (News - Alert).

When it comes to maintenance for Cisco equipment, many companies depend on Cisco SMARTnet for support. According to XSi, its third party maintenance for Cisco offers a long list of benefits, including contract flexibilities, simple contract management with all support under a single agreement for multiple OEMs, multiple SLAs and global support, payment flexibilities (such as monthly payments in arrears) and hardware and software support beyond Cisco EOL/EOS. XSi claimed that its services come with better response time on popular SMARTnet 24x7x4 and SMARTnet 8x5xnbd support.

Similarly, its third party Juniper Maintenance makes a better alternative to Juniper care, XSi maintains. XSi offers a flexible and simple to manage service contract for Jupiter equipment, with hardware and software support extending beyond Juniper EOL/EOS. The support service is provided via U.S.-based Tier 1 to Tier 3 Technical Assistance Centers (TACs). A Tier 4 center is also there to provide support during emergencies. Under the contract, support is provided on HP, IBM, Oracle (News - Alert)/Sun and Dell branded Juniper products, and covers all Juniper switches, routers, appliance and access servers.

XS International’s third party Brocade Maintenance plan is also less expensive than OEM support options. Under the alternative solution, customers can benefit from the services like support on HP, IBM, Oracle/Sun, and Dell branded Brocade products, ability to procure support maintenance via GSA (News - Alert) schedule, customer-tailored reporting, coverage for all Brocade switches, routers, SAN backbone/director blades, security appliances and wireless LAN Devices. This plan features XSi's contract and payment flexibilities, for which the company is known in the industry.
